Gather Together with Thankful Hearts: Let’s Give Thanks
Rob Hunden Takes Time to Be Thankful
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays for many reasons. Nope, not the food, although that is always a treat. I love it because it is not associated for most people with any religious or political event. It is open to all, no matter their circumstance or situation. And most important is the “why” of Thanksgiving. The sole purpose is gratitude and thanks for anything and everything we have received, experienced and even endured. Life and the universe present us a multitude of blessings and challenges, each of which are opportunities to grow, learn and become the best versions of ourselves we can be.
We often give thanks for the good things, but have to remember that life gives us difficulties that allow us to discover that we have more strength and character than we may have realized. The whole of life is presented to us each and every day. How we respond to it (being response-“able”) helps define who we become. We also can put our situation into the context of the billions of others who are each experiencing their own struggles and successes. Ultimately, we are all grains of sand on the same beach of life. It’s easy to get caught up in our personal adventure (and we do ourselves a service by working tirelessly on that adventure), but we can also be grateful and cognizant that even our close family, friends and colleagues are experiencing a wholly different reality. How can we be of service to their journey, grateful for our own and aware of that careful balance?
I make it a habit to practice gratitude and life-fulfilling manifestations on a weekly basis, verbally thanking God/the universe for my husband, family, friends, dogs, colleagues and clients and wishing us all the strength and health on our journeys to become the best version of ourselves that we each can become. I manifest and seek joy, laughter, bounty, health and strength for all I know and I truly believe it makes a difference when we think, write and speak the reality we want to experience.
I have been so fortunate in this lifetime to receive so many blessings and circumstances, and I certainly do not take any of it for granted, although it can be easy to do. I exuberantly share my gratitude with all. I cannot express my thanks enough for the life experiences my family, friends, clients, pets and husband have created along our journey. Many peace and blessings to you all!
