Senior Business Development and Proposal Manager
Katie Close is the Senior Business Development and Proposal Manager at Hunden Partners, where she helps drive the firm’s growth through strategic business development and proposal leadership. Drawing on her background in communications and marketing, she specializes in proposal strategy and development, using narrative normalization to translate complex consulting insights into clear, persuasive narratives.
With more than nine years of experience in proposal management, marketing communication, and business development strategy, Katie has led major submissions, improved proposal workflows, and strengthened internal processes that support the firm’s pursuit efforts.
Katie holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communication from Edinboro University, where she was a member of the Fighting Scots Swim Team.
Outside of work, Katie is a member of the Joliet Blue Tides Masters Swim Team and enjoys reading, tending to her growing collection of plants, plus spending time with family.
