Yusuf Awad, an Analyst at Hunden Partners, focuses on development analysis and financial feasibility studies for asset types that include mixed-use districts, sports and entertainment venues, hotels, convention centers, and tourism-driven placemaking projects. He conducts in-depth market and submarket research, financial feasibility modeling, economic and demographic analysis, competitive profiling, and stakeholder interviews to supplement actionable recommendations.
Born in Southern California and raised in Fishers, Indiana, Yusuf graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science in Business, majoring in Finance with a Real Estate co-major. His interest in commercial real estate grew from witnessing Fishers become one of Indiana’s fastest-growing communities. At Indiana University, he was selected as a Hudson & Holland Scholar and received the Gene B. Glick Company Endowed Scholarship, which recognizes Kelley students for academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to real estate and finance. He was also an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Workshop, where he analyzed live deals, built financial models, and won first place in a technical commercial real estate interview tournament judged by industry leaders.
Prior to joining Hunden Partners as an analyst, Yusuf interned with CBRE Group as a Multifamily Investment Sales Analyst, supporting one of Indiana’s leading multifamily investment sales teams. He also interned with DWS Group’s RREEF real estate platform, supporting real estate investment analysis across acquisitions, asset management, and portfolio strategy; the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, where he evaluated fund performance and portfolio strategy for a $12-billion real estate portfolio; and DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, where he conducted valuation analysis across multiple commercial real estate property types.
